Our Ether-ny General

Cox_2 Who would have thought that back in May 2003, Co-State GOP Party Dude, Chief Prosecutor and State Attorney Michael Cox would have voluntarily stepped into the Kilpatrick Manoogian Mansion Party Mess. Back then rumors swirled around town about a crazy party with hookers, blow-jobs and the Mrs. Mayor beating the crap out of one of the working ladies. Five weeks later in June 2003, Cox announces there would be no charges; the crazy party was just an Urban Legend.

Bowman

Why would the top GOP official in the state voluntarily step into a local political mess and clear the mayor of the city with the largest number of Democrats in the state?  A search for truth? A fight for justice? We wonder. Well we've got our own pet theories about what the Cox'ster was after … but that's another Urban Legend.

UPDATE! Friday, October 21, 2005

Former Detroit Police Lt. Alvin Bowman is awarded $200,000 in his Whistle Blower lawsuit against the City of Detroit. The news here is that according to the Free Press, "Michigan State Police officials also said they found no evidence of wrongdoing, although some officers testified during Bowman's trial that Cox impeded their investigation by denying them subpoenas." Jeez, Mike, is this part of your "tough prosecutor" thing, or is this just ether, generally?
