Brewerism v. Anuzisism
Scoring the Chairmen's Propaganda
Mark Brewer,
Michigan Democratic Party chair for over 10 years (left), and
Saulius Anuzis, Michigan
ReÂpubÂliÂcanÂite Party
chair for less than a year, are both shills for their
resÂpecÂtive parÂÂties.
And, unÂforÂtunÂateÂly
(or mayÂbe
forÂtunÂateÂly), no one believes
what they say. Well,
maybe the fringe of each party believes their crap, but certainly
no one else. So why do they issue those silly press releases or
play those petty stunts that no one pays attention to? Wish we knew.
But we don’t have to care to score each of their efforts. So starting with this post the Michigan Caucus' experienced team of judges will be scoring Brewer's and Anuzis' noteworthy propaganda efforts in originality, effectiveness, "Big Lie"-ism, plausibility and staying-power. A perfect score gains 10 points.
| Propaganda Item | Chair | Score |
| "Happy Escalator and Elevator
Safety Awareness Week"
We'll give Anuzis two points for origÂiÂnality in twisting what is otherÂwise a standard proclamation o' the week about escalator and elevator safety into a screed about jobs. The ironic part is that Engler issued the same proclamation without a wimpÂer from Anuzis. |
Anuzis | 2 Originality 0 Big Lie-ism 0 Staying Power 1 Effectiveness 0 Plausibility 3 Total |
| "China
Gifts"
Brewer sends gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos and his wife Betsy some gifts made in China - along with a letter congratulating DeVos on his Chinese job creation program and for his successful US lobbying efforts to cut himself a tax break on the China investments. |
