MRP Chair Saul Anuzis a Scofflaw?

Breakin_1What’s with Republican officials entering people’s homes without permission? It’s getting kind of creepy.

First, we had State Representative Jack Hoogendyk, (R-Benjamin) literally taking a casual tour of his opponent’s home in April and just a few days ago, Michigan Republican Party chairman Saulius “Saul†Anuzis walks into the home of state senate Democratic candidate Andy Levin and dropping-off a “welcome†basket.

Neither Hoogendk nor Anuzis had permission of the homeowners to enter the homes. Both claim they had “permission†of contractors working in the homes to waltz on through.

Anuzis, who showed up uninvited and unannounced to Levin’s home, brought a “Welcome to Michigan Basket†with samples of Michigan products and maps of the senate district.

But, Levin wasn’t home. Instead of leaving the basket on the porch, or giving it to the painters who were working there, Anuzis walks in and leaves the basket in the kitchen. Anuzis claims on his blog that the painter “invited†him inside. (Note to Michigan Caucus staff: never hire contractors to work in your home while running for office. Note to Anuzis: don't even think about it).

While Levin might need a “Welcome to Michigan Basket,†looks like Anuzis needs his own special basket. So, the Michigan Caucus is delivering a “Welcome to the Penal System Basket†filled with the things Anuzis will need if he keeps walking into people’s homes uninvited. Like:

1. Copy of the Michigan Penal Code (paying close attention to MCL 750.115),
2. A copy of the Yellow Pages with tabs set on the attorney and bail bonds sections,
3. A toothbrush,
4. Soap (no, its not on a rope), and
5. A bulletproof vest to protect himself against those shoot-first-ask-questions-latter dudes now protected by Michigan law.

Being Republican (ever less lately) I don't like Saul much either. However I am that "dude" protected by Michigan law who ask questions and shoot. It is upsetting that dude like you, smart and witty resorting to cheap generalizations.
It is the law bro, you like it or not. While I am packing heat I am not Dirty Harry type.
Buy “piece†(legally please) and find how conceal carrying will calm you down.
You may forgive Saul his sins. Now, that’s funny.

Say, you happy to see us, or is that just a big "piece?"
