Brooks Patterson is "Seething." So What?

Brooks_sneezeChief Oakland County Inebriate L. Brooks Patterson has got a $9 million budget hole to fill because Governor Jeniffer Granholm killed legislation that would have allowed local governments to issue bonds to cover retiree health care obligations.

Patterson says the veto was political payback for his efforts in repealing the Single Business Tax - causing a $2 billion hole in the state's budget. According to today's Free Press, Patterson is quoted as saying, "I'm seething,* I'm so angry. For her to do that is mean-spirited. You can put that in the file 'Paybacks are hell.'"

The governor's spokesman, Liz Boyd, denies Patterson's accusation, saying the legislation was vetoed because it would also affect the Medicaid reimbursement rate to the state.

Jeez, Brooks, what if it was political payback? Get over it. Right now, you sound like a 12 year-old girl who got dis-invited to a Britney Spears concert. Get this: we don't fucking care about your septuagenarian "seethingness."
